Leagues and Meetings

Athletes of the Club have the opportunity to compete in the following leagues and competitions

Welsh Senior League

Organised by the Athletics Association of Wales for affiliated Clubs in Wales.

This is a Track and Field competition open to Athletes over the age of 15yrs, with four fixtures each season.

There are 3 Divisions, the Club is in division one of the this league.

Welsh Junior League

Again organised by the AAW although the Northern Clubs have a single competition the top two teams of which then compete with the winning Southern Clubs. Open to all Junior athletes upto and including the Under 20 age group.

Cheshire League

Organised between 32 Cheshire and North Wales clubs. They hold four fixtures a year where every team will meet at least once.

Since this competition requires four athletes per track event it is a good measure of "strength in depth" of a club.

All ages groups compete from under 11's to seniors, both male and female. All events are covered but not on the same day.

North Staffordshire Cross Country League

Four fixtures held in and around the North Staffs area, all fixtures are arranged between September and Christmas.

North Wales Cross Country League

Five fixtures in this league held each year between September and March in the Nort Wales region.
